With rave reviews from critics and five academy award nominations to boot, Zero Dark Thirty has taken the film industry by storm. While a European Blu-ray release date has yet to be confirmed, Sony Pictures has revealed the special features which we can look forward to when the disc hits stores later this year.
The movie follows Maya (Jessica Chastain) in her quest for “public enemy number one”, Osama Bin Laden, or OBL as the CIA operatives prefer to call him. Director Kathryn Bigelow keeps this movie grounded in reality, using documentary-style film making techniques to bring a harrowing portrayal of torture and terrorism to life.
The Blu-ray special features revealed by Sony are set to include a piece on recreating Osama Bin Laden’s lair and a walking tour of the compound set. In addition, a feature called ‘Geared Up’ will provide an in-depth look at the detailed measures taken in training, equipping and filming the raid, and a cast and crew commentary will give more insight into this great feat in filmmaking.
No European release date has been announced yet, but we’re keeping our eyes peeled for more information and will update you when details are confirmed. In the meantime, head over to The HD Room for further details.
