The Cabin in the Woods, the highly rated horror-comedy starring Chris Hemsworth, is set to hit the UK on Blu-ray on 24th September 2012, with European territories following shortly after.
The film focuses on a group of five young friends visiting an isolated cabin before grisly death descends upon them. So far, so formulaic you might think, but Joss Whedon’s comic sensibility combined with Drew Goddard’s (writer of Cloverfield and many Lost episodes) skill for surprising his audience takes the film into rarely charted territory for the horror genre.
The Blu-ray is packed with special features, including audio commentaries, behind-the-scenes documentaries and featurettes, as well as the exclusive to Blu-ray It’s Not What You Think: The Cabin in the Woods Bonus View Mode.
