It’s been another bumper year for US TV, with so much choice between great shows it’s almost impossible to pick what you’re going to watch of an evening. Luckily, two more of these are winging their way onto Blu-ray, so if you missed them on TV, you’ll be able to watch at your leisure and in stunning HD.
The first release just announced is The Walking Dead: The Complete Second Season, which is lurching onto Blu-ray in the UK on 27th August (with other territories to follow). Based on Robert Kirkman’s award-winning comic book series by the same name and following Deputy Sheriff Rick Grimes’ battle for survival against the undead, this 1080p Blu-ray version of the popular TV series is bursting with exclusive bonus featurettes, deleted scenes and exclusive character profiles.
Changing the tone and decade, Don Draper returns in the fifth season of Golden Globe and Emmy Award winning Mad Men, which is set to hit Blu-ray in October. The 13 episode season sees the impact of Don’s new marriage to Megan on the Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce advertising agency. With Emmy-nominated performances from a fantastic ensemble cast, this high-definition Blu-ray edition is a must-watch for any lover of American TV series. Season Five lands on Blu-ray on the 29th October.
