Titanic sails on Blu-ray 3D this September

Paramount Home Media Distribution and Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment have announced they will bring James Cameron’s epic blockbuster Titanic to Blu-ray 3D and 2D on 10th September.

The winner of 11 Oscars, which was re-released in 3D for cinema goers earlier this year, focuses on the blossoming romance between young socialite Rose (Kate Winslet) and penniless drifter Jack (Leonardo DiCaprio), two passengers on board the ill-fated maiden voyage of RMS Titanic, Cameron’s touching tale serves up drama, mystery and love with a stellar cast who deliver unforgettable performances.

Two editions of the movie on Blu-ray have been announced, a Blu-ray 3D pack comprising a 3D and 2D copy of the film and a standard BD 2D version. Both editions will feature a whole host of special features such as documentaries Reflections on Titanic and Titanic: The Final Word, three audio commentaries with contributions from the director, cast and crew, 30 deleted scenes, 60 behind-the-scenes featurettes and a still gallery. Never one to take himself too seriously either, Cameron has also included a couple of parodies of the movie – one from the MTV awards and another from Saturday Night Live.
