Zombie drama The Walking Dead continues to go from strength to strength – the recent TV premiere of the fifth season’s finale episode again broke viewing records, while newly announced spin-off series Fear The Walking Dead, which will explore the first days of the zombie virus, is heading closer to our screens. And if all that wasn’t enough, the Blu-ray release of the Season 5 boxset has been confirmed for later this year.
Fans recognise the fifth season as potentially the best yet – from the promise of sanctuary from mysterious strangers at Terminus to the discovery of a different group of survivors holed up in a town near Washington. If you didn’t catch it on TV, you can also expect the usual Walking Dead staples of gut-wrenching twists, gruesome special effects and unexpected goodbyes…
The box set is due to hit stores in the US on August 25. Special features and a UK date have yet to be confirmed, but we’ll share more details when we hear them.
