This week we can confirm that the third season of cult TV series The Walking Dead will be hitting Blu-ray in a four-disc set on September 30th.
The third series picks up as police officer Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) leads the weary group of survivors to establish a camp to protect themselves from the marauding zombies. However, although the group has made it through the winter, their existence has become more precarious than ever before as they are forced to ward off new threats from both the zombies and increasingly hostile groups of other survivors.
The Blu-ray set will feature all sixteen episodes from the series, and although exact specs for the special features haven’t been confirmed yet, Anchor Bay revealed that it will come jam-packed with extras. Fans of the show can expect the Blu-ray to include commentaries from the cast and crew, as well as exclusive behind the scenes footage.
