To celebrate its 30th anniversary, everyone’s favourite snowman is making his Blu-ray debut in time for Christmas.
Raymond Brigg’s classic animation The Snowman was nominated for the 1982 Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film, and is also notable for its haunting theme song Walking In The Air. Practically a national institution in the UK, The Snowman’s beautiful hand-drawn animation and unique approach to storytelling, with no words spoken throughout the film, have captivated families all over the world at Christmas time.
The Blu-ray release will for the first time reveal behind-the-scenes secrets from the production, a commentary with producers and artists, and insights from choral singer Aled Jones on the recording of Walking In The Air.
The Snowman will be available on Blu-ray from 5th November. Female First has more details.
