This week we can confirm that high concept thriller The Purge will hit Blu-ray from October 21st.
From the producer of Insidious and Sinister, and starring Ethan Hawke, The Purge is a movie set in an America where the government has sanctioned an annual 12 hour period when all crime, including murder, is legal. The action really kicks off when on the night of the purge, businessman James Sandin (Ethan Hawke) battens down the hatches to keep his family safe from the ensuing anarchy. However, things don’t go to plan and James is tested to see how far he will go to protect his own family as he wrestles to curb his own emotional demons.
