The Grey crash lands onto Blu-ray

An image of The Grey on Blu-rayFollowing his career-changing turn in sleeper hit Taken, Liam Neeson returns to another gritty action role in The Grey, which is due to hit Blu-ray in Europe from May 21st.

Neeson plays Ottway, a security consultant who has to protect and lead his companions to safety after their plane crashes in the Alaskan wilderness. If coping with the extreme terrain wasn’t enough, Ottway and his team also have to face off against a pack of vicious wild wolves. The Grey mixes Neeson’s patented form of action with some thought-provoking questions on the nature of life and death.

The Blu-ray release will feature a 1080p presentation of the film in its original 2.39:1 aspect ratio with 5.1 DTS Master Audio. Special features include Universal’s U-Control and pocket BLU features, along with a video timeline, deleted scenes and a commentary with director Joe Carnahan and the film’s editors.
