Warner Home Video announced this week that family favourite and 80s classic The Goonies will be re-released on Blu-ray Disc to mark the film’s 25th anniversary this year. The film, directed by Richard Donner and produced by Steven Spielberg, is known for its swashbuckling adventure as well as early appearances from the likes of Sean Astin, Josh Brolin, Corey Feldman and Joe Pantoliano.
Details are still sparse, but the disc will include deleted scenes, a Making-of documentary, commentary from Donner and the cast, and Cyndi Lauper’s ‘The Goonies ‘R Good Enough’ music video. A limited collector’s edition will also include a Goonies board game, collectible storyboard prints, a 1985 souvenir magazine and an article on the cast and crew from UK film magazine Empire.
