Tim Burton’s gothic comedy Dark Shadows, starring Johnny Depp, Eva Green, Michelle Pfeifer and Helena Bonham Carter, will hit Blu-ray on 15th October in the UK, with other territories to follow.
Based on the TV show of the same name, Dark Shadows focuses on vampire Barnabas (Johnny Depp) who awakes in 1972 – two hundred years after being cursed by his jilted lover, who also turns out to have been a witch. Barnabas returns to his ancestral home to find that his once grand estate has fallen to ruin and is now inhabited by his dysfunctional modern-day descendants.
Tim Burton and long-time collaborator Depp once again serve up a luscious visual treat which is bound to look fantastic in vivid high-definition. The Blu-ray will include a variety of unique special features, unavailable on other formats, including several behind-the-scenes featurettes and seven deleted scenes.
