20th Century Fox Entertainment has unveiled plans to release The Descendants, starring George Clooney, Shailene Woodley and Amara Miller on Blu-ray Disc throughout Europe on May 21st.
Pipped to the post for the Best Actor award by Jean Dujardin of The Artist, Clooney stars in his Oscar nominated role as a Honolulu–based lawyer and land trustee. Upon deciding to sell the plot to developers, a tragedy strikes the family, forcing them to re-examine their lives, what they hold dear and throwing into perspective what they want their legacies to be.
Special features include deleted scenes each with an introduction from director Alexander Payne, a silent film tribute to Hawaii called The World Parade and eight featurettes including Everybody Loves George, A Conversation with George Clooney and Alexander Payne, and The Real Descendants.
