Batman fans will be excited to hear that an “Ultimate Collector’s Edition” of the cult Dark Knight Trilogy has been announced. The set will be available on Blu-ray in the US from 24th September, with all three of legendary director Christopher Nolan’s Batman films—Batman Begins, The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises included in the set. We’ll let you know as and when a European release is confirmed!
The epic saga which reinvented the superhero genre sees an all-star cast, including Christian Bale as the titular caped crusader, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, Liam Neeson, Aaron Eckhart, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Tom Hardy and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, build an incredible vision of Gotham City which has darkness and depth to spare. The multi-award winning saga contains some of the biggest-grossing films ever made, whose impact will be felt on the genre for many years to come.
As you might guess, this release will be jam-packed with extras, and in addition to the features already available on the individual Blu-ray releases there will also be two brand-new featurettes. One will take a look at the phenomenon caused by the trilogy and a second piece includes an interview with Christopher Nolan and Zack Snyder, the director of the new Man of Steel movie.
