Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced that it’s bringing The Angry Birds Movie to Blu-ray and UHD Blu-ray later this year. US stores will get the discs from August 16, while European fans will have to wait until October 17
The movie, based on the smash hit smartphone game, aims to tell us why the birds are quite so angry. Starring the voices of Jason Sudeikis, Josh Gad and Danny McBride, The Angry Birds Movie is set on an island populated entirely by happy, flightless birds. But when the island is visited by mysterious green pigs, it’s up to three unlikely outcasts – Red, Chuck and Bomb – to save the day.
The Angry Birds comes to Blu-ray in HD, UHD and 3D, and with an array of additional special features. These include exclusive Angry Birds short movies, deleted scenes, music videos and making of featurettes. Check out Blu-ray.com for more information.
