Back in January we brought you fantastic news that Lucasfilm had announced plans to bring the entire Star Wars saga to Blu-ray Disc on September 26th.
For those of you excitedly crossing off the days on your calendar, you’ll be delighted to hear there’s now one less week to wait! Star Wars: The Complete Saga will now be available from 16th September, that’s 10 days ahead of the original schedule.
Since Darth Vader himself took to the stage at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show fans around the world have anxiously been awaiting more news on the exclusive BD set. Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment President Mike Dunn has commented on the feverish excitement of audiences in the run up to the release:
‘The Star Wars Saga is the most anticipated Blu-ray collection since the launch of the high-def format. The epic franchise pioneered sound and visual presentation in theaters and is perfectly suited to do it again in the home, with a viewing experience only possible with Blu-ray.’
