Star Trek: TNG boldly comes back to Blu-ray

Following the great critical reception of the Blu-ray release of Star Trek: The Next Generation’s first season (IGN called the HD transfer “remarkable”), Captain Picard and the crew of the Enterprise are back for the second season. The six-disc set will be available to buy from December.

The series has had the same stellar treatment as the first, with an immaculate 1080p high definition transfer and an all-new 7.1 audio track. The set is also packed with never-before-seen bonus features, including over two hours of new documentaries, the 25th anniversary cast reunion, deleted scenes and an extremely rare extended version of episode ‘The Measure of a Man’.

With JJ Abrams’ next big screen outing Star Trek Into Darkness due in cinemas next spring, this set could be the perfect warm-up. For more information, head over to The HD Room.
