The Blu-ray release of The Artist has been highly anticipated. As well as winning a BAFTA for Best Film of the Year and the Best Actor award at the Cannes Film Festival, it also received a further five Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Director and Best Actor.
Back in February it was announced that The Artist would be waltzing onto Blu-ray in May. As the date draws closer, we thought we’d update you on the special features that the disc will have.
Sony Pictures’ Blu-ray presents the film in its original 1.37:1 aspect ratio, alongside bonus supplements including four featurettes covering the costumes, cinematography, production design and composition in the film. Other behind-the-scenes featurettes include The Artist: The Making of an American Romance, Hollywood as a Character: The Locations of The Artist, a Q&A with the filmmakers and cast, and a blooper reel.
