Following its theatrical release in April, Duncan Jones’ thrilling mind twister Source Code will land on Blu-ray this summer.
Soldier Captain Colter Stevens (Jake Gyllenhaal) wakes up on a train in the body of an unknown man, discovering he’s part of a mission to find the bomber of the train he’s on.
He learns he’s part of a government experiment called the “Source Code” – a computer programme that enables him to cross over into another man’s identity for the last eight minutes of his life. With the bomb set to detonate killing millions in downtown Chicago, Colter re-lives the incident over and over again, gathering clues each time, until he can solve the mystery of who is behind the bombs and prevent the attack.
The Blu-ray will feature full 1080p video, a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 soundtrack, as well as an audio commentary with Jake Gyllenhaal, director Duncan Jones and writer Ben Ripley. It also boasts interviews with the cast, expert opinions on time travel, trivia and much more. With a US release confirmed for July and a UK and European release set to follow soon after, this entertaining, intelligent puzzle of a film will be a welcome addition to any Blu-ray collection.
