The rise of the tweenage sequels is upon us with Harry Potter and Twilight firmly leading the way.  Hot on their heels is Percy Jackson & the Lightning Thief, which has just been released on Blu-ray Disc full of exclusive features.
Percy Jackson & The Lightning Thief is the first of five books by Rick Riordan making up the Percy & the Olympians saga.  Adapted by acclaimed director Chris Columbus for the big screen, the story tells the tale of teenage boy Percy who discovers his father is Greek God of the sea, Poseidon, making Percy half teenager, half God.
Exclusive Blu-ray special features include deleted scenes and BD Live extras, such as a theatrical trailer, an inside look at the film’s casino set and a chat with author Rick Riordan.¬† Four featurettes add some great context to the film, particularly, ‘Inside Camp Half Blood’, which contains interviews with the director and stars of the film, Logan Lerman and Brendon T. Jackson, who recall sword fighting training and other production anecdotes.
