In a move sure to delight fans of 2011’s runaway literary success, Lone Scherfig’s film adaptation of One Day will hit European shores on Blu-ray Disc from February 6th 2012.
Emma (Anne Hathaway) and Dexter (Jim Sturgess) meet on the night of their graduation and strike up an unlikely friendship which plays out across twenty years in this funny and touching film. Visiting their lives on the same day each year, their loves, losses, triumphs and failures are called into question as they navigate their way through life despite knowing deep down they belong together.
Arriving in a Triple Play pack, special features confirmed for the release include an audio commentary from director Scherfig in which she discusses bringing the cherished novel to life and the huge responsibility she felt towards fans in getting the central relationship right. Features Anne Hathaway: Bringing Emma to Life, Em and Dex Through the Years and The Look of One Day all touch upon the magic of hair, makeup and costume to create an authentic aging process that spans two decades, alongside insights from Hathaway and Sturgess on their interpretations of the characters and their unique bond.
