Great news for comic fans – Marvel Studios and Walt Disney Home Entertainment have announced the details of the Blu-ray release of Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron. Due out on October 2nd, the Blu-ray will include the movie, presented in glorious 1080p with DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1 surround sound, plus 45 minutes of exclusive content. A 3D version is also available.
Starring familiar faces such as Robert Downey Jr, Chris Hemsworth and Samuel L. Jackson, Avengers: Age of Ultron is the sequel to 2012’s The Avengers and once again sees our heroes battling together to save planet Earth. This time, their enemy is one from within – a self-aware and dangerous AI created by Robert Stark known as Ultron – that plans to achieve world peace through mass extinction.
The film is the 11th instalment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and is the penultimate movie in Phase Two, which we announced last week will be available to buy as a collection at some point later this year. It’s also the 6th highest grossing movie of all time – so if you missed it at the cinema, Blu-ray is the perfect chance to catch up!
