Lost in Space marks 50th anniversary with Blu-ray release

Science FictionScience fiction devotees will be ecstatic to hear that the Lost in Space original TV series, which marks its 50th anniversary this year, will be enjoying resurgence at the end of the summer thanks to an out of this world transfer to Blu-ray in September.

All generations can now follow the heart-racing, cliff-hanging adventures of John Robinson and his family aboard the Jupiter 2, along with Robot B-9 and the devious Dr. Zachary Smith.

The Blu-ray re-master is sharp and will catapult the series into the 21st century; without sacrificing any of the programme’s original charm. Here’s a sneak peak of how good it will look.

 

All 83 episodes of this classic TV series will packed into a stellar 18 disc collection, along with some wonderfully nostalgic treats, such us original commercials from the time the episodes were aired. Six vintage episodes will be presented in the original half screen freezer frame.

The 18 disc set will also include 50th Anniversary interviews with the series cast.
