Jaws will soon be gnashing its way onto our screens in glorious HD, as Universal Studios Home Entertainment announced it is to release Steven Spielberg’s classic on Blu-ray Disc this year.
A regular feature on many ‘most anticipated Blu-rays’ lists, Jaws, based on Peter Benchley’s novel, sees police chief Martin Brody (Roy Scheider) trying to protect beachgoers from a ferocious man-eating shark. Teaming up with marine biologist Matt Hooper (Richard Dreyfuss) and a professional shark hunter Quint (Robert Shaw), this thrilling horror is sure to keep you on the edge of your seat and scared to go back in the water anytime soon.
Special features have yet to been confirmed but we’ll make sure you’re the first to find out. The studio has however hinted that one or more of the film’s sequels may also get a BD upgrade, so watch this space for more info!
