One of this year’s biggest sci-fi hits, the long-awaited sequel to Independence Day
, is set to arrive on Blu-ray on 14th November.
Independence Day: Resurgence sees Jeff Goldblum, Bill Pullman, Judd Hirsch and Brent Spiner return alongside newcomers Liam Hemsworth, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Maika Monroe and William Fichtner. Set twenty years after the first invasion, Earth has learned from its past mistakes and has invested heavily in state-of-the-art space defence networks. However, when the vengeful aliens return, it appears that despite all the preparation, Earth may be not able to match the aggression and power of the extra-terrestrial enemies.
The special features are out of this world, and include eight deleted scenes, each with audio commentary by director Roland Emmerich, a making-of documentary, a look at the first invasion of 1996, and a gag reel.
