Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment has announced that it will release a 20th anniversary edition of the Oscar winning Independence Day, available on Blu-ray on the 30th May.
Starring Will Smith, Jeff Goldblum and Bill Pullman, Independence Day looks at humanity’s efforts to stop a powerful alien invasion. As huge UFOs fill the sky, it’s up to President Thomas J. Whitmore – one of our favourite fictional presidents – to lead one last strike against the invaders, with a little help from a downed fighter pilot and a scientist-turned-cable technician.
The anniversary edition will come with both the theatrical and extended cuts of the film, both of which have been remastered for Blu-ray. It will also come with a brand new thirty-minute documentary which looks as the legacy of the film.
