Today we’ve got part two of our round up of some of the new Blu-ray products showcased at this year’s IFA conference in Berlin.
Panasonic was in fine form this year announcing it will be offering VIERA Connect, a new and enhanced cloud-based Internet service for its BD player and BD home cinema systems in Europe. It also revealed the world’s lightest 3D active-shutter glasses – its TY-EW3D3 3D glasses. These specs can be charged extremely quickly and enable increased brightness, meaning you can enjoy the most intuitive and immersive 3D experience from the comfort of your living room.
Philips was hot on Panasonic’s heels, introducing a range of BD home theatre systems featuring superb sound and Smart TV. You can find more info on these in Philips’ Digital Newsroom.
Last but certainly not least, Sony announced details of its new BDP-S185 Blu-ray Disc Player (see image above) which not only allows you to watch Blu-rays and DVDs in HD but it also lets you stream movies, music and much more from the Sony Entertainment Network. Check out the Sony Press Centre for more details on this one.
