After being released in 1997, Good Will Hunting was nominated for nine Oscars and won Best Original Screenplay (written by stars Matt Damon and Ben Affleck) and Best Supporting Actor (Robin Williams). Back with a Blu-ray makeover, Good Will Hunting will be released on BD across Europe from September.
Matt Damon stars as Will Hunting, a janitor at America’s top university with a mind more capable than even its most gifted students. After one too many run-ins with the law, Will’s last chance to get on the straight and narrow is a psychology professor (Robin Williams), who might be the only person who can get through to him.
The Blu-ray will feature 1080p picture, a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 soundtrack, and extras including behind-the-scenes footage, production featurettes, deleted scenes and “Miss Misery” music video by the late, great Elliott Smith. It also boasts the theatrical trailer and an audio commentary with director Gus Van Sant, Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, as well as a digital copy.
