In a move sure to delight fans of the much loved series, Warner Home Entertainment has announced it is bringing Friends: The Complete Series to Blu-ray this autumn. Although an official release date has yet to be announced for the UK and Europe, we’ll let you know when it is.
One of the most popular TV shows in history, David Crane and Marta Kauffman’s sitcom follows the lives of six young professionals in Manhattan. Making stars of Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matthew Perry, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer, the iconic show, renowned for its comedic script and hilarious but touching storylines, shows the ups and downs of its fantastic cast as they fall in love, try out new jobs and learn a whole host of valuable life lessons.
Set to arrive in a huge 21 BD collection, it will feature all 236 original broadcast episodes newly re-mastered in stunning high definition. Bonus content will include commentaries on 31 selected episodes, behind-the-scenes featurettes Friends Around the World, On Location in London, The One That Goes Behind the Scenes, Behind the Style: The Look of Friends and Friends Final Thoughts as well as newly produced bonus supplements including retrospective documentaries Friends From the Start, When Friends Become Family, Legacy of Friends and a whole lot more.
