Fee-fi-fo-fum: Jack and the Giant Slayer thunders onto Blu-ray

Warner Bros has confirmed that Jack the Giant Slayer, starring Nicholas Hoult, Ewan McGregor, Bill Nighy, Eleanor Tomlinson and Stanley Tucci, will be bought vividly to life in 2D and 3D on Blu-ray on July 22nd.

Director Bryan Singer brings a modern twist to the legendary children’s tale Jack and the Beanstalk. Impoverished farm boy Jack (Nicholas Hoult) is forced to sell his horse for magic beans, which sprout a miraculous beanstalk leading to the land of the giants. Unfortunately for Jack, as the beanstalk begins its ascent Princess Isabelle (Eleanor Tomlinson) is catapulted into the giants’ realm. That’s bad news for Jack, as he has to head up to the formidable kingdom to rescue her.

The Blu-ray will be available in 2D as well as stunning high-def 3D. Special features are set to include top tips to become a giant slayer and tactics to survive enchanted kingdoms – which include advice on saving the Princess, harnessing the power of the beanstalk and what to avoid in the giant’s kitchen. In addition, there will also be a gag reel and behind the scenes commentary.
