Blu-ray Disc has given a new lease of life to many classic movies, and later this year the 1961 classic Breakfast at Tiffany’s will become the latest to get a high-def makeover.
Paramount Pictures announced this week that it will release Oscar-winning Breakfast at Tiffany’s in the US in August. European release dates are still to be confirmed. The disc will include a 1080p presentation of the film, with 5.1 DTS soundtrack. At the moment the only confirmed extra content is the film’s original trailer.
The romantic comedy, famously starring screen legends Audrey Hepburn, Patricia Neal and George Peppard, is still considered as one of American cinema’s most iconic films – check out High Def Digest for more initial information on the BD, and watch this space for further details on a European release.
