Steven Spielberg’s much-loved, all-time classic, E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial will get its highly anticipated Blu-ray Disc release on 12th November this year.
This timeless story about friendship, loss and maturity follows the story of a friendly extra-terrestrial that is mistakenly left behind by his spacecraft, and his touching journey to find his way home.
Universal Studios has officially announced two editions of the movie on Blu-ray, a standard BD version and a SteelBook edition, both of which will feature a digitally remastered copy of the film with an all-new 7.1 surround sound experience. Both BDs will feature an all-new interview with Spielberg and featurette The E.T. Journals which retraces the day-to-day experience of creating E.T. with never-before-seen footage shot by Academy Award-winning cinematographer John Toll. Additional special features will include deleted scenes, a look at the evolution of the story from the screenplay, interviews and footage of the long-standing relationship between score composer John Williams and Spielberg and much more.
