Horror fans can get their fill of blood, horror and Gothic-grime in this classic tale. Following the death of his friend Jonathan Harker, Dr. Van Helsing (Cushing) decides to investigate. The evidence suggests that Harker was the victim of a vampire and when Harker’s fiancée, Lucy, becomes affected by the hypnotic power of Count Dracula (Lee), Van Helsing releases her tortured soul by driving a stake through her heart.
The Horror of Dracula has received a full digital makeover, and the Blu-ray will contain two versions of the film, both the 2007 BFI restoration and the 2012 Hammer restoration. In addition the release includes additional footage that was initially censored by the BBFC in 1958.
