It’s already topping the Blu-ray charts in America, and now Cloud Atlas, directed by Andy Wachowski, Lana Wachowski and Tom Tykwer, is set to take Europe by storm on Blu-ray on 1st July.
An adaptation of the Booker prize shortlisted novel by David Mitchell, Cloud Atlas follows six interconnected storylines from six distinct periods, spanning the 18th Century to the distant future. The epic movie, starring Tom Hanks, Halle Berry, Hugo Leaving, Hugh Grant and Ben Whishaw among others, observes the way we re-cross our old paths and how our actions in the past resonate in the future.
The special features are set to include seven “Focus Point” featurettes, providing an overview of the film and production. These quirky behind the scenes threads and fly-on-the-wall extras include a piece on romance and fate over the ages, and a feature which looks at the interlocking lives of the various characters and the manner in which their storylines overlap.
