Citizen Kane, often considered to be one of the greatest films of all time, is being prepared for a new release on Blu-ray Disc to mark its 70th anniversary.
Blu-ray.com reports that a 70th anniversary collector’s edition is now available for pre-order in the US. A European release has not yet been confirmed but is expected later in the year. The box set will come with a huge range of collectable materials which will fascinate fans of the film – including a collector’s book, replica documents and poster art stills. As well as the film, the set will also include feature-length documentary The Battle over Citizen Kane, HBO drama RKO 281 (which depicts the making of the film) and director Orson Welles’ long-unavailable follow-up film The Magnificent Ambersons.
