With movies like Twilight: New Moon and TV shows such as True Blood and the Vampire Diaries proving incredibly popular, it is most definitely the year of the Vampire. The latest Blu-ray release of Cirque du Freak: The Vampire’s Assistant adds to this momentum, with plenty of special Blu-ray features to keep vampire fans entertained.
Firstly, there are a massive 43 deleted scenes that are exclusive to the Blu-ray release. Then there two feauturettes, one of which is entitled a Guide to Becoming a Vampire, giving avid vampire fans the chance to learn more about the mythical creatures. The other feature included is entitled Tour du Freak, which delves into the backstory of the circus troupe that the film and book is based on.
The disc also includes support for Universal’s Pocket Blu and Social Blu applications for iPhone control, Facebook and Twitter access, and BD-Live connectivity that dynamically imports new trailers.
