We’re very pleased to report that Walt Disney Home Entertainment will bring another one of its animated classics to Blu-ray Disc with the release of Cinderella. While no European release has been set as yet, rest assured we’ll let you know when the magical date is announced.
This gloriously enchanting tale follows Cinderella, a beautiful and kind hearted girl who is forced into servitude by her wicked step-mother. With the animals of the house as her only companions, Cinderella’s dreams of escaping come true when an invite to a royal ball arrives. Queue a sprinkling of Disney magic from her very own fairy godmother and a race against time to win her prince’s heart. Viewers young and old are guaranteed to fall in love all over again with this picture perfect fairy tale.
The film will be treated to Disney’s brand of impeccable high definition remastering, and features bonus content including an introduction by Diane Disney Miller, behind-the-scenes featurette The Magic Of The Glass Slipper: A Cinderella Story, an alternate opening sequence and Disney Second Screen feature Bibbidi-Bobbidi-You! Personalized Digital Storybook. The Huffington Post has also reported that Christian Louboutin is set to design a real-life Cinderella glass shoe to mark the occasion!
