Universal Pictures have announced that Central Intelligence, starring Kevin Hart and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, will be available to buy on Blu-ray from 31st October. 
Johnson plays Bob Stone, a once-uncool and bullied schoolkid who grew up to be one of the CIA’s most deadly operatives. At a school reunion, Stone claims to be on a top secret mission, and enlists the help of Calvin Joyner (Hart), who unlike Stone, was the big man on campus. Now, however, he’s an accountant living a boringly normal life. Missing his glory days, he agrees to help Stone, but it’s not long before he realises that he may be in over his head, as he enters a world of espionage, double-crosses and shoot-outs. The film also stars Amy Ryan, Jason Bateman and Aaron Paul.
Special features will include an additional unrated version of the film, which has eight minutes of previously unseen footage, director’s commentary and a gag reel. The film will also be available in the new Ultra HD Blu-ray format, offering four times the resolution of current generation Blu-ray, and support for new features like High Dynamic Range.
