The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 Blu-ray receives glowing review

The movie gurus over at Collider.com recently got their hands on a US Blu-ray copy of The Twilight Saga Breaking Dawn – Part 1 for review. So what did they make of the penultimate adventure which touches down in Europe on BD next week? Read on to find out…

Encapsulating many elements of the franchise Twi-hards have been waiting for, the movie sees Edward (Robert Pattinson) and Bella (Kristen Stewart) finally tie the knot in suitably stunning fashion and set off on a romantic honeymoon, leaving Jacob (Taylor Lautner) heartbroken. But their long awaited union has consequences more deadly than anyone could have imagined, with an unexpected arrival leaving them facing a battle for everything they love.

So, what can you expect from the Blu-ray? Collider’s reviewer says:

‘I‘m confident that most fans believed the wedding scene looked breathtaking from the various camera angles, along with the excellent music and cinematography… Bill Condon did such a phenomenal job to make every scene look flawless.’

And what about the bonus features? Collider’s reviewer was seriously impressed by the 90 minute long making-of documentaries which shed light on the production and filming techniques used:

‘All of these special features walk you through the entire process of making the movie with the writers, creators, and cast… Watching Kristen Stewart’s transformation, the prosthetics that were used on set and the making of her uncanny body double were all wonderful.  If you’re someone who loves watching and learning about the pre-production, production and post-production processes, you will thoroughly enjoy these documentaries.’

So what’s the verdict?

‘I would give Breaking Dawn – Part 1 an ‘A’. This version has something special for everyone and it’s perfect for every Twilight fan.’

High praise indeed!
