In July we brought you news that Breakfast at Tiffany’s was to be given a new lease of life on Blu-ray Disc. Today we’re happy to announce that Paramount Pictures have confirmed a 50th Anniversary Edition release throughout Europe for 12th September.
The romantic comedy starring screen legends Audrey Hepburn, Patricia Neal and George Peppard, is still to this day considered one of cinema’s most iconic films. The story of friendship and love between urban sophisticate Holly Golightly (Hepburn) and her struggling poet neighbour (Peppard) plays out across their complex lives coming and going at a New York apartment.
Presented in pristine beauty thanks to a brand new digital restoration, the BD will include over 90 minutes of bonus features (more than enough for Hepburn fans to be enamoured with) alongside a documentary examining Henry Mancini’s Oscar winning score which featured Moon River, made famous by the movie. Other content includes commentary from producer Richard Shepherd, a look at the fashion and style of the movie as well as an original set tour, photo galleries and short film ‘The Making of a Classic’, which highlights the film’s impact on American culture.
