Bond returns to Blu-ray in Skyfall

Fifty years on from the release of the original Bond film, Skyfall, officially the biggest grossing British film ever, is set to hit Blu-ray on 18th February. Dubbed by the Guardian as ‘the best’ in the Bond franchise thus far, the film presents a grisly but spry interpretation of the original Ian Fleming novels.

The movie opens just as Bond’s latest assignment goes cataclysmically wrong. A NATO file listing all undercover operatives embedded in terrorist cells is stolen, exposing agents across the globe. MI6 is attacked – forcing M (Judi Dench) to relocate the agency. M is compromised and then challenged by Gareth Mallory (Ralph Fiennes), the new Chairman of the Intelligence and Security Committee.  With MI6 now vulnerable from both inside and out, M is only left with one ally: Bond. 007 takes to the shadows – aided only by field agent, Eve (Naomie Harris), he begins to hunt the enigmatic Silva (Javier Bardem), and decipher his lethal and hidden motives.

This action thriller will be bought vividly to life in high definition on Blu-ray. The Blu-ray extras are also set to include a commentary by the director Sam Mendes and producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson, as well as behind-the-scenes footage, deleted scenes and clips from the Skyfall premiere.
