An image of Anchorman, Megamind, Elf and The Other Guys on Blu-rayAnchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy:

Available in an extended, two-disc ‘Rich Mahogany’ edition, fans of Ferrell’s timeless broadcasting legend can now sink their teeth even deeper into the world of his infamous Channel 4 News team. Packed with countless comedy moments, the movie follows Ferrell’s exploits as Ron Burgundy, lead anchor for San Diego’s regional news team. Set in the 1970s, Ron is a hit with the ladies and alongside his fellow newsmen Brian (Paul Rudd), Champ (David Koechner) and Brick (Steve Carell), he appears invincible. That’s until the station is thrown into chaos when roving reporter Veronica Corningstone (Christina Applegate) touches down and shakes things up. Special features include full-length film Wake Up Ron Burgundy (made up of subplots that didn’t make the final movie), interviews with the cast and crew, the original audition tapes of cast members, character features, outtakes and much more.

Megamind 3D:

This animated, eye-popping adventure about a bad guy who’s not that bad, sees Ferrell take to the screen in fine vocal form alongside Brad Pitt and Tina Fey. Picture perfect and with pin sharp audio to match, this wickedly funny 3D tale sees superhero Metro Man (Pitt) take on unconventional uber-villain Megamind (Ferrell) with hilarious consequences the whole family can enjoy. Fans can expect a whole host of extras including a look at the character development, voice-recording, animation processes, games, commentaries from the cast and crew and an all new animated short called Megamind: The Button of Doom.

Elf:

You’d have to be a ‘cotton headed ninny muggins’ to not fall in love with Ferrell’s side-splitting performance as Buddy the Elf, even if Christmas is more than a few months away. An innocent stowaway transported as a baby by accident to Santa’s North Pole village, Buddy takes the opportunity to return to New York and re-kindle his relationship with his dad (James Cann). Cue hilarious Christmas shenanigans and loveable family fun! Special features include audio commentaries, trivia track, production featurettes and deleted scenes.

The Other Guys:

Nerdy detective Gamble (Ferrell) is more interested in pushing pencils than busting bad guys. Alongside hot-headed, trigger happy cop Hoitz (Mark Wahlberg), the pair are forced to bask in the glory of their crime-fighting colleagues. However when the time comes, it turns out that these ‘other guys’ are the only guys for the job. Extras are plentiful and include audio commentaries, a look at the action sequences, interviews with cast and crew, a look at Ferrell’s improvisations that didn’t make the final cut and much more.
