Blu-rays for the Weekend: The best of Anne Hathaway

Anne Hathaway has just been confirmed to reunite with Christopher Nolan on the British director’s forthcoming science-fiction film, Interstellar. So this weekend we thought we would take a look at her biggest box office successes so far, all available on high-definition Blu-ray.

Dark Knight Rises

The third installment of Christopher Nolan’s unforgettable Batman trilogy sees Christian Bale’s Caped Crusader emerge from hiding to face Bane (Tom Hardy), a ruthless masked terrorist intent on destroying Bruce Wayne’s beloved Gotham City. With incredible action shot on IMAX cameras, the high-definition Blu-ray is by far the best way to enjoy the epic conclusion of the 21st century’s finest superhero saga.

The Princess Diaries

Hathaway plays a socially awkward but very bright 15-year-old girl being raised by a single mom who discovers that she is the princess of a small European country because of the recent death of her long-absent father, who, unknown to her, was the crown prince of Genovia. Available on Blu-ray in a box set also featuring the sequel, The Princess Diaries is perfect family entertainment.

The Devil Wears Prada

Anne Hathaway stars as wannabe journalist Andrea Sachs, who takes on her nemesis, Meryl Streep, the Editor in Chief at high fashion magazine Runway. The Blu-ray version brings the outfit choices, palettes and colour hues to life in vivid detail, and includes special features going behind the scenes on the making of the movie.
