Blu-rays for the Weekend: New Mums

Last week saw Kate Middleton give birth to a future King, so this week we thought we’d look at some of the best films about motherhood, all available in high definition on Blu-ray.

Baby Mama

Tina Fey stars as Kate, a thirty-seven year old uptight career woman, whose biological clock is ticking. When she discovers that she is infertile, she goes to the reproductively unchallenged trailer-park diva Angie (Amy Poehler), to be her surrogate. As these two very different women learn to live with each other during Angie’s pregnancy, sparks begin to fly. This high definition Blu-ray includes a picture-in-picture commentary.

Knocked Up

Katherine Heigl plays Alison, who after a surprise promotion ends up having a one-night stand with Ben (Seth Rogen), a lazy no-hoper who still lives at home with his parents. Eight weeks later, Alison realises that she is pregnant and decides to get in contact with Ben. As the pair fall in love, we wonder if they will be able to reconcile their differences, or if the pressure will be all too much? The Blu-ray is set to feature an audio commentary and behind the scenes footage as well as interviews with the cast and crew.

What To Expect When You’re Expecting

Expect the unexpected in What To Expect When You’re Expecting. Starring Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Lopez, Elizabeth Banks, Chace Crawford and Brooklyn Decker, this comedy debunks pregnancy myths as it follows five very different women through their nine months of pregnancy. The Blu-ray comes with deleted scenes as well as a featurette that pays homage to the book that inspired the movie.
