Blu-rays for the Weekend: Best of Seth Rogen

This weekend, Bad Neighbours 2: Sorority Rising, the sequel to the 2014 comedy hit, lands in cinemas across the UK, and follows on from the events of the first film. This time, our happy couple – the Radners – have to deal with a sorority house that moves in next door. In order to reclaim their neighbourhood (again) the couple call in the help of their old neighbour Teddy Sanders, the former head of a fraternity house, to help them evict their new noisy neighbours.

Seth Rogen, Dave Franco, Rose Byrne and Zac Efron all reprise their roles from the first film, alongside Lisa Kudrow, Selena Gomez and Chloë Grace Moretz.

To get you in the mood for Bad Neighbours 2: Sorority Rising this weekend, we’ve compiled our three favourite Franco and Rogen movies available on Blu-ray:

This Is the End this is the end

When Seth Rogen invites Jay Baruchel to LA for some heavy partying at James Franco’s housewarming, the last thing he expects is for the Biblical Apocalypse to breakout. Seth, Jay and James all take shelter along with some friends to wait for rescue while the world outside tears itself apart. While they wait, they are visited by a number of friends and familiar faces, including Rihanna, Jonah Hill, Emma Watson, Michael Cera and Paul Rudd.

The Blu-ray comes with a number of special features, including audio commentary with Seth Rogen and co-director Evan Goldberg, interviews with the actors, deleted scenes, and loads more. This is a must-have for any Rogen/Franco fan!

Pineapple ExpressPineapple Express

In Pineapple Express, Seth Rogen plays Dale Denton, a process server with a habit for getting himself into bad situations. This comes to a head when Denton unwittingly gets himself involved with some nasty characters, and spirals in to a deadly game of cat and mouse with the criminal underworld.

Pineapple Express comes with a wealth of special Blu-ray features, including raw footage, a making-of documentary and interviews with the cast and crew. If you have an Ultra HD Blu-ray player and TV, you can pick up Pineapple Express on Ultra HD Blu-ray and enjoy all the features of the new format. James Franco and Seth Rogen play Dave Skylark and Aaron Rapaport, a celebrity TV show presenter and producer, who travel to North Korea after learning that Kim Jong-un is a fan of the show. After landing an interview with the despot leader, they find themselves recruited by the CIA to carry out an assassination.

The Blu-ray comes with a number of bonus extras, including a gag reel, a documentary about the film’s characters, and a look at the experience of shooting with a live tiger.
