Blu-rays for the Weekend: Best of Hugh Jackman

With the new Wolverine trailer released this week, and following his Oscar-nominated musical turn in Les Misérables, we thought this weekend would be a great time to take a look back at the best of versatile Aussie Hugh Jackman. If you’re stuck for something to watch this weekend, why not try out one of the following – all available on high definition Blu-ray.

X-Men Trilogy

Hugh Jackman proved he could excel at anything when he first appeared slicing evil mutants as Wolverine in X-Men. The original trilogy follows human mutants with extraordinary abilities who form a team to protect mankind from the evil Magneto. X-Men was one of the first of today’s modern superhero genre and remains one of the best. With an incredible cast, stunning costumes and visual effects, the whole series looks even better on high-definition Blu-ray.

The Fountain

In Darren Aronofsky’s The Fountain, Hugh Jackman plays Thomas, a man at the centre of three interweaving stories about love, death and spirituality which spans the past, present and future. Australia

Jackman goes back to his roots when he stars as a cattle drover in Baz Luhrmann’s adventure movie Australia. Starring alongside fellow Aussie co-star Nicole Kidman, the epic romance showcases the natural beauty of the country like never before. Blu-ray.com gave it a perfect score for video quality, calling it “nothing short of beautiful.”
