Blu-ray Monday: Triple 9

For this week’s Blu-ray Monday, we’re giving away a brand new copy of Triple 9, the US crime thriller from John Hillcoat, the director of Lawless.

Starring Casey Affleck, Woody Harrelson, Kate Winslet and Teresa PalmerTriple 9, Triple 9 follows a crew of dirty cops who are blackmailed by the Russian mob into pulling off a seemingly impossible bank heist. The crew decide to stage a code 999 – the call for when an officer is down – to divert the rest of the force across town, while they attempt to carry out the robbery.

The Blu-ray comes with a number of deleted scenes, and two features looking at the movie’s characters and cast, and how director John Hillcoat created an authentic looking city.

As usual you have two chances to win. For your first entry, retweet one of our competition posts. Then for a second entry, leave a comment below in response to the following question:

Seemingly impossible robberies is not an uncommon film theme, with many writers and directors putting their own spin on it. But what is your favourite? Perhaps one of the classics which has been remade, such as The Italian Job, Point Break or Ocean’s Eleven? Or maybe one where misdirection is the name of the game, such as Now You See Me or Man on a Ledge? There’s plenty of British heists too, including The Bank Job and Snatch, as well as some great comedies such as Blue Streak and Tower Heist. Whatever your favourite is, let us know in the comments below.
