Blu-ray Monday – The Jungle Book

For this week’s Blu-ray Monday, we’re giving away a brand new copy of The Jungle Book.

The Jungle Book is the live-action remake of the timeless story about a young orphan, Mowgli, who is raised in the jungle by a black panther, a bear and a pack of wolves. After being forced to leave the only home he’s ever known, he begins an epic quest through the jungle, learning a number of life lessons during a journey of self-discovery.

Bill Murray, Idris Elba, Christopher Walken, Ben Kingsley and Scarlett Johansson all lend their voices to this flawless CGI Jungle Bookadventure, which looks stunning in high definition. Special features include discussions with director Jon Favreau and the production team about the reimagining of the Disney original, a look at the casting of Mowgli, and audio commentary.

The Jungle Book features a number of talking animals – Shere Khan the tiger, Baloo the bear and Bagheera the black panther – but there are a number of other famous conversational creatures. What is your favourite?

Perhaps its Nemo, Donkey from Shrek, Stuart Little, Babe, or Paddington Bear? Or maybe it’s one of the animals from Madagascar, such as Alex the lion, Marty the zebra, Melman the giraffe, or Gloria the hippopotamus. It could even be Manny from Ice Age, Po from Kung Fu Panda, Garfield, or Remy from Ratatouille. Supernatural beings also count – maybe Sully or Mike from Monsters Inc, Stitch, or Toothless from How to Train your Dragon is your favourite. Whatever you choose, make sure you let us know in the comments below.
