For this week’s Blu-ray Monday we’re giving away a copy of alien invasion movie Battle: Los Angeles.
Colossal spacecrafts rain down from the LA sky in this action packed tale which pits Aaron Eckhart and his team of marines against an extra terrestrial invasion of epic proportions. The film charts their battle against the alien’s intent on reducing their city to a smoking pile of rubble. Combining phenomenal special effects and top quality action this film is a must have for those who enjoy fast paced entertainment and good old fashioned invasion movies.
As usual with our Blu-ray giveaways, you have two chances to win. For your first entry hit the tweet button at the top of this post. Then for a second entry, leave a comment on this post to the following question:
Battle: Los Angeles sees many of LA’s famous landmarks annihilated and the fall of iconic buildings is often what springs to mind when recalling disaster movies. For this week’s competition, we’d like to know which famous landmark destruction scenes in films you find the most memorable and why. Maybe it’s the realism of the effects? Or perhaps it’s the sheer scale of destruction? Do you believe a city or location has been overlooked and could do with some exposure?
The White House in Washington DC is synonymous with Independence Day and Chicago has just been demolished by those troublesome Transformers. London also famously fell to legions of zombies in 28 Days Later, Godzilla hid amongst the skyscrapers of Tokyo and Paris was completely flattened by the macho antics of Team America. So let us know what city takes your top spot or where you’d like to see the action go down next!
