Blu-ray Monday: Elysium

For the last Blu-ray Monday competition of 2013, we’re giving you the chance to take home a copy of sci-fi thriller Elysium, starring Matt Damon and Jodie Foster.

Set in 2154, humanity is divided. The wealthy live on pristine man-made space station, Elysium, whilst everyone else is trapped in poverty and squalor on an overpopulated, ruined Earth. The people in the gated community on Elysium are the only ones who have access to quality medical care. So when LA resident, Max (Matt Damon) is involved in an industrial accident and only given five days to live, he is determined to reach the healthcare available on Elysium, at any cost.

As usual with our Blu-ray Monday competitions, you have two chances to win. For your first entry, just click on the tweet button above. Then for a second entry, leave a comment below in response to the following question:

After the success of District 9, Elysium is the second film set in a dystopian future to come from director Neill Blomkamp, and the movie tackles everything from universal healthcare and illegal immigration to wealth inequality and the police state. So this week, we wanted to find out your favourite visions of the future on film. Which stories, sets or special effects captivated you most? Which futuristic predictions do you think are most likely to come true? Do you fear a future that resembles sci-fi tales like The Terminator, Oblivion or The Hunger Games? Or do you look forward to a Star Trek quest for peace and galactic exploration? Whatever your take on the future, let us know in the comments.

To make it easier for us to contact you, remember to leave your Twitter details with your comment. Good luck!
