For this week’s Blu-ray Monday, we’re giving you the chance to get your hands on Eddie The Eagle, the high-flying feel-good film based on the life of a prolific British Olympic ski-jumper.
Taron Egerton and Hugh Jackman star in this biopic about Michael “Eddie” Edwards, who trains with his father to compete in the 1988 Calgary Winter Olympics ski-jumping competition. Edwards was the first British athlete to qualify for the Winter Olympics, and this film takes us with him on an epic journey of human spirit, passion and a refusal to be beaten.
The Blu-ray will come with a number of special features, including a documentary about the real Eddie The Eagle, a look at how they filmed the ski jumps, and a stills gallery.

We’ve seen a number of epic sporting movies over the years, but what is your favourite? Perhaps it’s one of the comedies, such as Cool Runnings, The Waterboy, Dodgeball, Baseketball or Happy Gilmore? Or maybe a classic, like Chariots of Fire, Rocky, Raging Bull or Space Jam? Perhaps it’s one of the later releases, such as Moneyball, Ali, Creed, Invictus, Rush or Southpaw? Whatever you choose, let us know in the comments below.
